Domain Blocking

When a domain or IP address is blocked, none of your users can receive email messages from any of the users at that entire domain or IP address.
  1. To create a domain block in order to block email from a particular domain:
  2. Login to the Control Panel as Administrator and select My Account from the drop-down list at the top of the window. The My Account Home window appears.
  3. Click the Domain Blocking tab. The Domain Blocking window appears.
  4. Click Create New. The Create Domain Block form appears.
  5. Select IP Address or Email Address or Entire Domain.
Note: Selecting an IP Address restricts connections to qmail from that address or partial address; the address must be in a dot quad form. Selecting an email address allows any connection, but when the "From" is the address or partial address blocked, it returns a "521 Service permanently not available (blocked)". The address must be an alphanumeric type address.
  6. Type the IP address or email address in the Address text field.
  7. Type the description in the Description text field.
  8. Click Save, to add this user or click Save / Create Another, to add this user and create another. The Domain Blocking window appears with a message informing you that a new domain block has been created.
Note: The message "You have added X domain blocks, with a limit of 50 total domain blocks" appears in the Domain Block Quota window, informing you about the number of domains you are currently blocking. You can block up to 50 domains.
