MicroSoft® Frontpage® 2002 Server Extensions
What happened to FrontPage and FrontPage extensions? After nine years of being a
popular Web authoring tool, FrontPage was discontinued by Microsoft in 2006. Effective June 30, 2006 support for the Microsoft
FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions for UNIX was also stopped by Microsoft. There are no plans for a FP2003 Server Extensions for
UNIX release. Please refer to Microsoft for additional information. You may continue to use the FPSE kit that you have previously
installed. There will be no future releases, bug fixes or security patches.
Microsoft® FrontPage® is a leading Web site management and
creation tool that combines ease of use, innovative imaging tools and seamless integration with the Microsoft Office family of
applications. Whether creating personal Web pages or professional Internet sites, FrontPage® delivers a complete solution for
creating and managing Web sites that get noticed.
The Microsoft FrontPage® 2002 Extensions are compatible with FrontPage 2002, 2000, and 98 Client Programs.
