Domain Name Registration services are available to all of our customers. Through a special partnership with
Internet Names WorldWide (a division of
Melbourne IT, an ICANN
accredited registrar), AlpineWeb can register .com, .mobi, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us and co.uk domains up to 63
characters in length and from 1 to 10 years (2 to 10 years for .biz, .info, and .us) in duration.
We can also set your domain name up for an auto-renew so that you never run the risk of loosing your domain - your
internet identity.

Private Registration
Usually the information that you enter when registering your domain name is instantly available to everyone on the
Internet. When you register a domain name, ICANN requires that your address, e-mail and phone number be published in
the public WHOIS database which is available for anybody to view on the Web.
Private Registration with AlpineWeb replaces your private information with generic information. The service provides
a filtering mechanism for all email, telephone and postal mail. Only those emails, calls and postal mail messages that
are not spam will be forwarded to you.

Registrar Transfers
You can also save money and gain more control of your domain name by transferring it from its current registrar to Internet Names
WorldWide. When the registrar of your domain name is transferred, you can renew your domain name for just
$20.00
per year. A transferred registration can only be renewed for a period of up to 9 years. It is not possible to renew a
transferred registration for longer than 9 years. A current registration may be renewed for 10 years but not a transferred
registration.

Rates
Domain name registrations start at just $20.00 per year. This represents a
savings of $15.00 from the current "industry" price of $35.00 a year.
When you transfer the registrar of a domain name it must be re-registered for a
period of at least 1 year. The total charge for transferring and registering a domain name is
$20.00 for the first year. Subsequent years are charged according to the
normal yearly rate of $20.00 with discounts on longer registration periods.

We bill for domain name registration according to our standard terms for other products that we provide. You will be
billed for all domain names registered or transferred to your account.
Domain Name Service (DNS)
We now offer free domain name DNS for all domain names registered through us. Our Virtual
Private Servers allow you to host multiple domain names, each with the ability to point to a unique Web site, on a single
account. This ability, often referred to as
Virtual Sub hosting, is one of
the most powerful features of our Virtual Private Servers. Our Order Wizard allows you to request that we modify our name servers
to point to the IP address of the Virtual Private Server account that you specify.
DNS Infrastructure

solutions. Verio supports its operations with highly reliable and scalable global infrastructure and systems including the NTT/VERIO Global IP Network. Verio's global Tier-1 backbone is constantly monitored by Verio's
network operations center.
The state of the art Nominum network naming solution provides many
advantages including a Global DNS Failover system extremely reliable.
You can easily add a domain name to one of your hosting accounts using the
Add DNS Order Form. The Domain Name Wizard will add
the domain name to our name servers and point the domain to the IP address of the hosting account that you specify.
NOTE: If you plan to use other name servers to resolve the domain name, then there is no reason for
you to use our Domain Name Service.
A one-time charge of $10.00 per domain for domain names not
registered through AlpineWeb, is applicable.
